Ut Orpheus obviously prides itself on producing first-rate publications, as this is a very stylish production. There is an attractive and inviting front cover, and the music itself is presented on good-quality off-white paper and is clearly printed. The fingerings are well-defined and sensible (which is not always the case). An interesting and historically informative foreword is presented by composer/scholar Angelo Gilardino, and the editor, Gianluca Allocca, has also provided some useful editorial notes. These are exquisite miniatures which should be in every classical guitarists' collection! (Steve Marsh)
